Luke McMaster has definitely come full circle in the crazy world of the music business. starting out as one half of the acclaimed duo McMaster & James, Luke experienced the rock star life of studio’s, videos and touring from a young age. From Chantelle Kreviazuk to Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera, Luke cut his teeth with some of the biggest acts of the day.
After McMaster & James ran it’s course Luke’s natural gift for songwriting led him to Toronto, New York and L.A. to work with a wide variety of international talent. Producing and writing for an incredible array of projects…Rihanna, Nick Lachey, music for film and TV…even the odd rock and soul album have all been part of the journey.
Luke gained critical experience behind the studio walls as he figured out what his next move would be…which has brought him back to his true passion, performing.
It was during one such songwriting collaboration when the best of both of Luke’s worlds inevitably collided. Luke had long been a fan of Grammy nominated American piano sensation Jim Brickman and was introduced to him through a mutual friend.
Says Luke, “Jim Brickman and I met at such a fortuitous time. He was starting a new record, and, being an instrumentalist, he’s always looking for up and coming singers to collaborate with. I was such a fan of how he helped develop artists like Lady Antebellum and was so excited to work with Jim… I knew we could do something incredible.”
Luke got together with Jim before one of his sold out shows at the Warner Theatre in Erie Pennsylvania and between Jim’s sound check and the hit AC radio song, “Good Morning Beautiful” was born.
ALL ROADS is Luke's debut Green Hill release and a Christmas album will soon follow.
